Australia Post Home Delivery Pickup at Leichhardt International Shipping Pickup at Crows NestGlobe artichokes are the unopened flower buds of a thistle, sold here as single whole heads and certified organic through grower certification.
Trim the stem and outer leaves, then steam or boil until a leaf pulls away easily. Serve the leaves with olive oil or melted butter, or braise the trimmed hearts with garlic and lemon.
Store whole heads loose in the fridge crisper and use within about a week. Once cut, rub the surfaces with lemon to stop them browning.
