Nolans Road Delicate is the mellow, fruity one of the two Nolans Road organic extra virgin olive oils.
It's a blend of mainly verdale, benito and arbequina olives from certified organic groves around Naracoorte on South Australia's Limestone Coast. Expect soft floral notes on the nose, an upfront sweetness and a gentle pepperiness at the finish. The oil is left to settle naturally over winter and bottled unfiltered.
Its creamy, easy-going flavour makes it a good all-rounder, from dipping bread and dressing salads to baking. Sydney chef Kylie Kwong called it "liquid gold" in her book It Tastes Better.
The 1.5L bottle is the one to buy if you cook with olive oil most days.
