Miellerie Tea Tree (manuka) Honey, 325g. Tea tree (Leptospermum lanigerum and Leptospermum scoparium) is the same genus as New Zealand manuka. Miellerie's comes from along the upper Huon River and Manuka Creek, in the World Heritage wilderness of South West Tasmania.
Deep amber, with a pronounced taste far stronger than a blossom honey, and a thick texture of soft fine crystals rather than a runny syrup.
Cold extracted and unheated. Each season's harvest is tested for methylglyoxal and the level varies year to year, so the figure printed on the jar is the one that applies to that jar.
