Honest to Goodness Nutritional Yeast Flakes Toasted 150g are flakes of deactivated yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, grown by controlled fermentation and then toasted. They are fortified with B group vitamins, folic acid and iron.
The flavour is savoury and mildly cheesy, which is why cooks reach for them in dairy free kitchens. Scatter them over popcorn, pasta, roast vegetables or soup, or stir them through a cashew sauce.
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark cupboard.
