Alaska has prohibited finfish farming since 1990, so salmon landed there is wild by law, not by claim.
Brine rather than oil, so the flavour is cleaner and plainer and the fish is leaner on the plate. This is the tin to choose when the salmon is going into something else and you do not want olive oil coming along with it — fishcakes, a sandwich filling, a salad with its own dressing.
Drain it well before use.
