Church Farm General Store make this rendang paste in small batches from onions, extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, spices, ginger, lemongrass, garlic, chillies, dried coconut, coconut oil, galangal, tamarind and kaffir lime leaves.
Fry the paste in a little oil until fragrant, then add beef, chicken, jackfruit or vegetables with coconut milk and cook it down slowly until the sauce clings.
Keep the jar in a cool, dry cupboard until opened, then refrigerate it and use within the period stated on the label.
