Careme All Butter Shortcrust Pastry is a 400g pack holding one ready-rolled sheet, about 27cm x 36cm. That is enough for one large pie lid, two medium tarts or 24 mini sausage rolls.
It is made in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, from wheat flour, 27% butter, water and salt, with no preservatives or additives. The pastry is sold frozen; once defrosted it keeps in the fridge for up to three days.
Use it for tart shells, pies and slab bakes where a crisp base and a defined edge matter. Chill it before baking, and Careme recommend a metal or enamel tin.
