Anti-inflammatory, joint-supportive, and easy to chew.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup low-sodium bone broth (chicken or beef – no onion or garlic!)
- 2 tbsp unflavoured gelatin powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/8 tsp black pepper (optional – helps activate turmeric, use cautiously in small dogs)
- 1 tbsp cold-pressed coconut oil or salmon oil (for healthy fats)
- Optional: 1 tsp collagen powder or green-lipped mussel powder
Method:
- Warm the bone broth in a small saucepan over low heat – do not boil.
- Whisk in the turmeric, black pepper, and oil until combined.
- Gradually sprinkle in the gelatin, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
- Once fully dissolved, remove from heat.
- Pour into silicone moulds or a shallow dish.
- Refrigerate for 2–3 hours or until set.
- Cut into bite-sized pieces if using a dish.
Storage:
- Store in the fridge for up to 7 days.
- Freeze extras in batches (they defrost quickly).
