Mesquite powder, also known as mesquite flour, is a nutrient dense superfood with a slightly sweet and nutty flavour. Mesquite (Prosopis pallida) originates from the Mesquite trees of Peru, its pods have been dried and used by Native Americans for centuries thanks to its nutritional goodness.
With it's mild sweet flavour and low-glycemic index (around 25), Mesquite Powder is often used as a replacement for sweeteners or flours in recipes. It's also naturally rich in vitamins and minerals, including calcium, fibre, protein, and amino acids.
